Sourcing and Order Fulfillment:
The company primarily purchases goods from international suppliers, while also selectively sourcing products domestically. When evaluating international suppliers, and in cases where a product meets our quality standards, the company may establish an agency agreement to secure exclusive distribution rights within the country.
PAYMENTS / METHOD OF PURCHASING
The company offers qualifying customers a standard 30 day “net” credit facility. The company utilizes and is guided by various credit bureaus whilst strictly adhering to the latest POP act.
Technology:
Araf Industries maintains its Data on the Pastel SAGE ERP Platform, which is perfectly Designed for the needs of our REPS. The companies activities and processes are very system driven. Our Sales Representatives are equipped with and utilize high-tech android devices for order capture and digital marketing materials. They also utilize a software called Skynamo which strategically creates an efficient route for them to each customer when they are doing their daily trips.
Our Marketing Department runs of a state of the art Desktop Unit fully equipped with the entire Adobe Suite for the Designing and Laying out of our monthly Promotions, Flash Sales, Product Packaging Artworks as well as our entire Business Catalogue updates. The user also has Access to a Dropbox which is linked to our REPS Tablets so they are constantly in the loop of new Adverts and Promotions that are launched.
We also use a platform known as SendGrid to send out Mass promotional material to all our customers in 1 click.
Key Customers:
Araf began with a view to service the independent hardware store and these customers to this day represent the majority not only in terms of customer numbers but also in top line revenue. Over the last few years we have targeted the bigger buying groups and chains and have thus far been fairly successful.
